David Bond

Business Development Director

David read PPE at Christ Church Oxford and taught there for a year before joining Merrill Lynch Asset Management (formerly Mercury Asset Management) as a fund manager.

After three years analysing investment opportunities, meeting management of potential investments and running pension fund money he then spent a couple of years as an actor and voice over artist before, in 1997, helping to found Wide Learning (www.widelearning.com), a leading provider of online financial training.

In four years Wide Learning grew from 5 employees to 80 and was funded by GE Capital, Reuters and JP Morgan. As Head of Development, David worked with a range of corporate clients at Wide Learning including The Securities Institute, Lloyds TSB, The Royal Bank of Scotland, BG plc, BP Amoco, Reuters, DLJ Direct, HSBC, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, MSDW and Salomon Smith Barney.

His role involved authoring & training financial subjects, product strategy, market research, and developing an accreditation strategy with business schools such as INSEAD, The Judge Institute and Imperial College Management School as well as industry bodies such as The Chartered Institute of Bankers and The Law Society.

Having been involved with Interragate as an advisor and a shareholder for 18 months he became Business Development Director of Interragate in June 2001.
