Exapia categorises data in multiple ways
Humans typically view data from many different points of view
and our recognition of meaning is made much more subtle by the
way in which we categorise things in different ways simultaneouly.
For instance, the phrase "childrens' books" is definitely
about books, but for humans, the word 'childrens' conjures books
which are illustrated. If no books are found which are classified
as children's books, then it may still suggest illustrated books.
Exapia is capable of categorising data into many different
'taxonomies' or classification systems. This helps it to focus
more precisely on really relevant items or, if no data is found
from the obvious meaning of the query, it can find useful items
by fetching those whose multiple-classification pattern is close
to the pattern of the query.
