Exapia remembers context
Like humans, Exapia tries to understand the context in which
a question is being asked. For instance, the meaning of the
question "What's going on in America" depends not
only on who is asking the question but also may depend
on previous questions that the user has asked in the same session.
If previous questions have asked, for example, about technology
inventions in the UK then this context can be fed into the question
about America.
Exapia deals with context in two ways. Firstly though the personal
profile to determine the user's general preferences and
the user's specific context for the search. Secondly, Exapia
remembers the questions that the user asks and can build a local
context for the question from them.
This function has been developed from years of research into
how people search for information.
